Frequently Asked Questions
What should my daughter where to try-outs?
Girls should dress in athletic clothing and shoes (no jeans, no vans) that is school dress code appropriate. Also, please check the weather daily and make sure they are dressed appropriately for the temperature. Girls MUST have hair ties to pull their hair back while at try-outs and practices.
Do we need to buy anything for try-outs?
You only need to purchase a mouth guard. Do not go out and buy cleats, a stick, etc. If your daughter makes the team, we will discuss equipment at the parent meeting.
Does my daughter need a physical to try-out?
YES!! Students are not permitted to participate without a current physical on file. Please contact Mrs. Clukey in Student Activities if you have any questions regarding physicals and the appropriate form needed.
Will there be practice every day?
YES!! Playing an interscholastic sport for LMS is an everyday commitment. If your daughter makes the team she will be expected to attend practices every day after school as well as the 8 season games and 2 possible play-off games.
My daughter plays travel soccer and practices every Wednesday at 5:00. How will that work?
It is the position of the coach that due to the competitive nature of Interscholastic sports, that LMS sports are the priority. If they can do both without it interfering with LMS practices and games, there will be no concerns. However, I will consider each situation individually and am happy to discuss some flexibility if possible.
